Company Workforce Wellbeing

Suitable for:
Organisations that seek to demonstrably care for their workforce by taking steps to improve the health, fitness and wellbeing of all personnel, which will in-turn optimise individual and collective morale, cohesion, efficiency and performance. Maximising attendance levels, reducing work related injury and fatigue. Supporting good mental health and individual resilience.

Delivery means:
Following consultation with the supported organisation to identify its considered needs and goals Odyssey will create a specifically tailored programme of activities and services. The programme will be periodically reviewed, refined, and adjusted as required thereafter.
Activities and services may include:

  • Exercise sessions at the organisation’s establishment or an alternate venue.
  • Live and on-demand online exercise and mobility sessions.
  • Access to a monthly recipe e-book, nutritional advice and support.
  • Access to a specifically created social media forum/group chat.
  • Access to 1:1 life coaching and check-ins (Odyssey coach to individual).
  • Team building/group level activities.
    Other activities and services at the request of the organisation.

Online Coaching Sessions

Suitable for:
Those who do not require the continuous physical presence of a personal trainer with engagement achieved by the utilisation of programming specifically designed to accommodate individual performance levels, abilities and needs. The Odyssey online coaching platform provides access to:

  • Tailored nutrition programmes.
  • Tailored exercise programmes.
  • Wellbeing focused action plans.
  • Weekly check-in (coach and client progress and goal-setting discussion).
  • Weight, measurement, and health tracking.

Delivery means:
An initial (free) consultation with Odyssey coach is conducted to identify the client’s current status, needs and goals. The Odyssey coach subsequently creates a specifically tailored development programme, which will be incrementally adjusted as progression is achieved.
The clients programme is accessed through the Odyssey Class-ify Connect online portal.

Group Outdoor/Indoor Fitness Sessions

Suitable for:
Beginners to athletes with sessions designed to accommodate a broad range of individual fitness levels, abilities & needs. Particularly suited to individuals who enjoy participating in group level activities and who welcome the opportunity to socialise and make new friends in a non-competitive environment.
Groups and teams who require to conduct activities that focus on identified areas of performance development for example sports teams, business workforce and other groups with specific attributes, needs and goals.

Delivery means:
Group exercise classes conducted on parkland, sports pitches or other suitable venues. Activities may include: Bodyweight Hiit / Strength & Weights / Core Strength & Endurance & much more (all utilising a selection of fantastic equipment).
Indoor group exercise classes are able to be facilitated on arrangement.
Note: Individuals are able to join group session programmed activities at any stage and will receive regular opportunities to measure progress in developing their fitness and performance levels. Clients receive access to Odyssey coaches for individual advice, support and coaching as required.

Online Exercise Classes

Suitable for:
Beginners to athletes with sessions specifically designed to accommodate individual fitness levels, abilities & needs. Particularly suitable for those who require flexibility in their individual fitness training programme.

Delivery means:
Online classes delivered via the Odyssey GymCatch page. Classes are able to be attended either live or on-demand to suit individual availability and include: Cardio Hiit / Strength / Core Endurance / Mobility / Recovery.

Note: Individuals are able to join online classes at any stage and will receive regular opportunities to measure progress in developing their fitness and performance levels. Clients receive access to Odyssey coaches for individual advice, support and coaching as required.

Odyssey GymCatch

1:1 Personal Training

Suitable for:
Those who prefer the focused attention of a personal trainer and who seek a comprehensive individually tailored service to include the development and improvement of areas such as:
Physical fitness / strength / mobility / performance / nutrition / weight loss or other aspects of their fitness, health and wellbeing in order to meet their identified needs.

Delivery means:
An initial (free) consultation with Odyssey coach is conducted to identify the client’s current status, needs and goals. The Odyssey coach subsequently creates a specifically tailored development programme, which will be incrementally adjusted as progression is achieved.
Personal Training is normally conducted in the Odyssey studio at Teesside University. Online sessions can also be made available.

The Zoom training sessions with Odyssey have been an excellent way to maintain my fitness during lockdown – it’s amazing to find out how hard you can work in a small space with just your body weight for gym equipment!I can’t praise the team enough; Mike and Craig are not only dedicated to fitness, but dedicated to their clients too. Each session is meticulously planned – from cardio workouts, through to strength and resistance and core and endurance, each session is carefully designed to ensure that all aspects of fitness are addressed. Nothing is spontaneous – the guys are incredibly knowledgeable and plan each session with the intention of long term progression.The atmosphere within the group is so positive (I particularly enjoyed the Christmas Cardio Quiz!); we’ve now started setting each other small additional challenges to help improve our eating habits or motivate us to push ourselves just that little bit further in training. Feeling like you’re part of a team really does help to maintain a positive mindset.Finally, the best quality about the team at Odyssey is trust. When you sign up you know that you can trust in the quality of service that you will receive – Mike and Craig are both more than happy to discuss personal goals with you and offer advice and guidance beyond the Zoom sessions. You can also trust that, despite feeling the burn, you’ll enjoy your fitness journey!

The Odyssey Zoom training is excellent! Mike and Craig make sure the sessions are not only brilliantly planned, but also really well executed – there’s not been one I haven’t enjoyed! They are usually around 45 minutes and cover everything from cardio, strength, core and resistance training. Mike and Craig really care about helping you achieve your own goals and are more than happy to offer advice and guidance to help you achieve them. Every few weeks they run a fitness test, which offers a fantastic way of tracking your improvements and giving you something to aim for! I’ve already seen a big improvement in my own fitness! In summary, I really can’t recommend the sessions enough. They’re full of energy and the entire team are supportive, kind and really passionate about your fitness and progression.
